GPodder is a podcast receiver/catcher. You can subscribe to feeds ("podcasts") and automatically download new audio and video content. Downloaded content can be played on your computer or synchronized to iPods, MTP-based players, filesystem-based MP3 players and Bluetooth enabled mobile phones. YouTube video feeds are also supported.

This package provides the "gpodder" GUI and the "gpo" CLI utility.

unfortunately the server used - gpodder.net is DEAD; only podcast manager that works & NOT a FlatPak

Wanted the synch function to synch with Android. Sadly this feature has been removed. Its ok for just a desktop client.

I'd give it 5 stars if it could also download videos from Dailymotion and YouTube. All in all though an excellent app. Kudos to Thomas Perl.

Probaly the best podcatcher I've used on any platform. Very easy to use and intuitive. It will not only get video and audio podcasts but it seperates them in very easy to see layout. As an added bonus it will also download YouTube channel feeds.

A very good podcast receiver/catcher and its cross platform! Does everything that the description advertises. It puts each separate podcast into a separate folder, very handy to archive! I use it in LinuxMint 15 and Windows 7 and have found one small annoyance. The more podcasts listed, the slower it takes to start. I have a list of 89 audio/video podcasts and it can take a bit of time to fully come up on screen before I can use it in both OS's I mentioned previously. Otherwise, a must have.

Have used it from my Nokia N800 and now in Mint. Improved and the best catcher for podcasts.
