The LibreQuake project aims to create a complete, free content first-person shooter
game, but LibreQuake by itself is just the raw material for a game. It must be paired
with a compatible engine to be played.
There is a massive back catalogue, spanning over two decades, containing thousands of
Quake levels and other modifications (“modsâ€) made by fans of the game. LibreQuake
aims to be compatible with these and allows most to be played without the need to use non-free
software.
To install mods for the flatpak version of LibreQuake you need to place them in the

~/.var/app/io.github.lavenderdotpet.LibreQuake/.quakespasm/
directory.
This is were your config, screenshots and demos are located too.
Disclaimer: In its current form LibreQuake is a work in progress effort which may
include placeholder assets, missing textures or unfinished parts.
This release is bundled with the quakespasm sourceport which is released under the
GPL-2.0 license. See the Github page for details about used licenses.
Inspired level design and retains all the fun gameplay of Quake. Give it a go!
Best game ive ever played. Awesome maps with gigantic Secret rooms (and levels) plus the shooter overall just feels nostalgic as hell. 10/10
