Good. It has everything I could want in an offline program. Different keyboard layouts and languages. You can change the font and size in each lesson. And they way of teaching isn't some weird mix between speed and accuracy. The program teaches you the basics and then goes to speed, which is the best way to go. Complete and lightweight, of all the 3 I've tested in Linux Mint, this is the best one.
I think it is a very good typing tutor. The repetition factor is very helpful in the learning process. I would compare this program favorably with Mavis Beacon of Windows fame.
Durch das gleichzeitige Üben von z.B. Zeigefinger links und Zeigefinger rechts wird der Schüler immer mit rechts / links Verwechselungen zu kämpfen haben. Tipp10 ist hier die bessere Alternative.
Simple, but not simplistic – it has everything you need to learn touch- typing.
Not par with the 'Window's' applications, especially if you are expecting anything close to 'Typing Master'. If you are starting fresh then it comfortably fits for the purpose!
Excellent software. Well written and easy to use. I've been meaning to learn to touch-type for many years. Klavaro may be what finally gets me there :)
This is the better typing tutor. It does not run in terminal like gtypist does. The author incorporated humor into the comments the program gives. It has a more positive feel while gtypist is very cold. It seems to track progress so you pick up where you left off.
