Krusader is a simple, easy, powerful, twin-panel (commander-style) file manager, similar to Midnight Commander (C) or Total Commander (C).

It provides all the file management features you could possibly want.

Plus: extensive archive handling, mounted filesystem support, FTP, advanced search module, viewer/editor, directory synchronisation, file content comparisons, powerful batch renaming and much more.

It supports archive formats: ace, arj, bzip2, deb, iso, lha, rar, rpm, tar, zip and 7-zip.

It handles KIOSlaves such as smb:// or fish://.

Almost completely customizable, Krusader is very user friendly, fast and looks great on your desktop.

I DO NOT hate Krusader. I HATE the fact that LM "Software Mananager" never has up-to-date software on it. On the Krusader website (https://krusader.org/get-krusader/index.html) the latest version is V2.6.0 - not here it's not. What is the point of having a "Software Manager" when most of the software is out-of-date or simply not available? Useless!

Very pleasant software. It took some time to discover how to use the directory bookmarks. The bookmark editor has to be loaded by installing konquerer also. Has the same benefit as WinSCP for windows: when editing files from ftp with the built-in editor it will automatically be saved.

I found an ideal replacement for Total Commander, which I've been using for 20 years as my favourite file manager. Krusader is no less powerful than TC. I reccomend Krusader to all of you who swithced from MS Windows, just as I have. Honestly, I don't look back...
