The mdadm tool is used to create, manage, and monitor Linux MD (software RAID) devices.

This package configures mdadm to by default assemble arrays automatically during the system startup process.

It's mdadm, i use raid 0 to make 2 crappy hdds marginally less crappy. Follow something like the arch wiki for ez configuration

Incredibly buggy, used it for raid 5 for two months, didn't go over a week without dying (and the hard drives are still perfect!)

Works great for software raid1-6 without (expensive) hardware raid controller!

Use this with my linux system and a cheap RAID. Work great for home my home system. I love it.
