ModemManager is a DBus-activated daemon which controls mobile broadband (2G/3G/4G/5G) devices and connections. Whether built-in devices, USB dongles, Bluetooth-paired telephones or professional RS232/USB devices with external power supplies, ModemManager is able to prepare and configure the modems and setup connections with them.

It is not an essential thing for the Mobile Broadband ( Using Android Phones ) users. If it is installed the Mobile Broadband will always disconnect with in 2 minutes. The good thing is that just remove this package from Mint and then connect your mobile Device. Then only you will get a stable connection after Tethering. Before removing just connect your Mobile as modem and check the status
