try running

sudo ndisgtk 

from a terminal. I tried to install Windows drivers for a usb wi-fi dongle this way but it would load from them the AutoRun.inf or setup.exe. That's all that's on the install disk.

Needs Synaptic-revealed ndiswrapper files & dependencies to work!
