Doesn't work on my Dell laptop mint 21.3, Intel Core i7-4600U bits, 16Gb memory, Haswell-ULT Integrated Graphics). Only wanted text to speech with a GUI. Speech recognition acts randomly. Text to speech: no matter what english language I download the read button stays greyed out and is inactive, wether the speach is highlighted or not. Also the yt video says there should be a divider in the languages page between speech in and speech out packages. I can't tell wether there is as it's in another language. Maybe the devs could just put a horizontal bar across or better still split it into a reader and speech to text? Very big package and download to find out it doesn't work. I'll try it again later and adjust my review accordingly
I use the Text to Speech function (German) and am very satisfied with the result. There are minor problems with company names and years, but overall very appealing and performant.
Not a fan because on my rig, Mint 21.1, the FkatPak in the software manager fails to launch. Clicking in "Install" on this page results in "Invalid package name" I'd love to give an actual review, but can't because it doesn't run.
