Pianobar is a cross-platform console client for the personalized web radio Pandora, supporting all important features the official Flashâ„¢ client has:

* Create, delete, rename stations and add more music * Rate and temporary ban tracks as well as move them to another station * “Shared stations”

and some that it does not have (yet):

* last.fm scrobbling * Proxy support for use in areas not supported by Pandora (outside the USA)

You need an account in order to use this player, so please consider create one for free before using pianobar at https://pandora.com.

Love the implementation of a terminal-based way to access and control Pandora! Simple to use, powerful, and lightweight / compact. I had no issues at all installing from the Software Manager, and the built-in help ('?') is well done.

Loved it while it worked. Now there is a bug and it won't run. I tried installing from source but don't have or seem to be able to get the dependencies. Anyone else have this problem? I have linux mint 16, I am getting the error, " there is a bug and it won't run. I tried installing from source but don't have or seem to be able to get the dependencies" Will give it a 5 when it is fixed.

Pandora in the terminal! I dig it! Thanks! I can't believe I'm the first to comment on this! FYI- On my desktop (Striker HD soundcard) I had to add dev=default to libau.conf to get audio. KDE
