Powerpoint viewer allows you to view and print powerpoint presentations. you cannot edit a presentation with pptview. pptview is an intel pe (i386-pc-pe) binary and requires wine to run.

you may want to try openoffice.org-impress, which is free software and can also view and edit powerpoint presentations.
