Proton is a modified version of Wine used in Steam. This tool allows you to use Winetricks commands for games in Steam using Proton. This is often useful when a game requires closed-source runtime libraries that are not included with Proton.

This system package worked great until I needed protontricks to install a mod manager to a specific game; it ran into the same problem as another review. However, for general purpose the system package worked great.

system version is outdated comared to flatpak version and it does not work. Causes Invalid file magic number error.
