Scanning tool that communicates with OBD-II serial port devices, used for vehicle diagnostics. Requires a serial to CAN bus device specific to the OBD-II port for a given model vehicle.

It works! I use it with a cheap USB OBD-II reader. Doesn't do anything overly sophisticated, but is the perfect tool for clearing out error codes for problems you don't intend to fix.
