Probado el miércoles 31 de diciembre del 2025: No permite agregar diccionarios locales. Por mucho que he pinchado por aquí y por allá no encuentro la manera de agregar diccionarios locales. Al parecer se enlazaba a sitios web para buscar datos, pero es de pago.

Forget it. Because of legal hassles over copyright infringements StarDict is no longer in business. There is supposed to be a new incarnation, but it is advised that they may not have solved their legal problems. Too bad, because they may have been a better alternative to Lingoes than Golden Dictionary.

It's a fine dictonary program provided you have the right dictionaries loaded ;-) It's interesting the fuzzy query that finds words that sound similar to each other and the possibility to use wildcards and jokers in the query.

Good program; To setup dictionaries for StarDict, extract the downloaded packages and move them into /usr/share/stardict/dic/.

The original StarDict project has recently been removed from SourceForge due to copyright infringement reports.
