Linux Mint 21 - the movie-file-based search does not work - the scan progress bar stucks at 0%, both if selected on a file or on a folder. At least the search by movie name option works.

in Linux Mint 20 installlation fails because of a python v 2 dependency, and has not yet been upgraded to python 3

The program doesnt say anything about requiring python-qt4. So i installed that, now it opens, but just has an endless login box. I dont even know what i'm logging into. What a piece of garbage.

requires the package python-qt4, but is listed as "recommended", so you need to manually install if you want subdownloader to work. from Synaptic this is easy to do, even if you don't understand command line.

Make sure to choose US English subs instead of UK ones (they don't show up)

Works as advertised. I actually prefer to reboot from Windows to Linux than manually looking up a subtitle.

It works well and is worth using, but it lacks some fundamental GNOME integration features.
