Syslog-nagios-bridge brings Syslog and Nagios together, listening for Syslog events from the network, determining when they meet an error threshold, mapping the host and syslog tag value to a Nagios service definition and submitting a passive checkresult to Nagios.

Users clear the alerts manually through the Nagios web UI after checking the log and resolving the problem.
