Don't let the uncommon UI deter you from trying out this amazing piece of software. It is evident that the developer had good reasons for arranging things differently. You might be in for a lot of pleasant surprises while you explore this editor in a non-biased mood. And yes, the editor is snappy and responsive even with larger files. Правильно отображает ru кодировки. Пример - txt документы хранятся в dropbox, набираю и правлю в ipad und linux mint. Ни один другой txt редактор не работает. Петр, спасибо! :-)
