This is a standalone tool to import raw data from high-end digital cameras.

The Unidentified Flying Raw (UFRaw) is a utility for converting and manipulating raw images from digital cameras. It can be used as a stand-alone tool or as a Gimp plug-in, and images can be batch processed using the command-line interface. UFRaw reads most existing raw formats using Dave Coffin's raw conversion utility DCRaw, and it supports basic color management using Little CMS, allowing the user to apply color profiles.

Feature packed for RAW photo processing. Sadly I found the UI very confusing and hard to work with - my workflow demands repeatability. I ended up hunting a lot to find the same adjuster control twice. Tried a newer version some 14 months later, much improved, figuring out handling of multiple images was still not intuitive.

Still waiting for this app to be brought up to date with the latest version of dcraw. Nothing found that can replace it.

Excellent little (?) program. My first stop when importing files from my computer. Takes so little time to master as well.
