Startup Disk Creator converts a USB key or SD card into a volume from which you can start up and run Ubuntu. You can also store files and settings in any space left over.

The program also works for Debian, or any other Debian-based OS for which you have a CD or .iso image.

This package contains the GTK+ client frontend.

... if you have any problems with BOOT - after flash is done - open it in GParted and set partition to "Activ" ;)

Does the job most of the time - usb-creator lacks in verbosity, as well as in formating features.

usb-creator-gtk downloads much less stuff on aptGetInstall than usb-creator-kde on a cinnamon mint. It installs netrunner 16 properly to thumbdrive, which unetbootin does not do. unetbootin does not allow netrunner to install to hd (uefi problem) use this creator proggy instead.

works good for ubuntu and linuxmint iso-files; arch linux & majaro iso files were not recognized
