Wine is a compatibility layer for running Windows applications on Linux. Applications are run at full speed without the need of cpu emulation. Wine does not require Microsoft Windows, however it can use native system dll files in place of its own if they are available.

This is a transitional dummy package to aid upgrades of older versions.

On LM13 its application fonts look bad/inconsistent. First app opens with bold run-on fonts that are hard to read. Subsequent apps show standard Windows fonts (sharp). WINE Internet Explorer doesn't show the menu bar on new windows and F10 key doesn't bring it up.
