Install Ubuntu Mono Font on LMDE

  • Download Archive from http://font.ubuntu.com/
  • change permissions 
    sudo chmod 777 /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ubuntu-font-family
  • extract  .ttf files to /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ubuntu-font-family
