sudo cp /opt/google/chrome/google-chrome.desktop /usr/share/applications
xdg-mime default google-chrome.desktop x-scheme-handler/http
xdg-mime default google-chrome.desktop x-scheme-handler/https

no need to type complex codes. go to settings and set it default bowser, simple..

Or you could just install from software manager and set default in settings manager....
