Hello.
It is very simple to disable the touch pad by entering one command in terminal.
syndaemon -d
You can add this to startup. shortly video will be updated.
Thnak you.
This command just disabled my touchpad.
If your touchpad is configured properly (cf. http://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/1361), you don’t really need this as syndaemon will make you lose your touchpad settings :-(
Just great thing to discover this option.
Just left resource-consuming w7 in my old laptop that didn't have this option even within the manufacurer's driver.
It is being a great experience so far.
i'm discovering great commands here!
Thank for share that ;)
This option is available in system settings, probably in all LM used DE's. Though a single terminal code might be handy for quick access.
I've been fighting my lazy left thumb for YEARS, the touchpad gets me in trouble all the time, sometimes really serious trouble. Nothing like noticing half a page of code blinking away because the touchpad decided I wanted to highlight all the way to the top of the screen (where the cursor was) and replace it with the next keystroke. As a touch typist, the next keystroke is usually here pretty quickly. Yeah, there's undo, but even with a lot of levels, I can blap quite a few characters onto the page in a short amount of time.
Thanks!!!
