In trying to make Minitube work on mint 10 I found many people having various degrees of success, this is how I sorted mine.

Make sure you have phonon-backend-Gstreamer installed

Uninstall phonon-backend-xine if it is installed as this causes the first video on the list to repeat, you may have to uninstall other xine plugins as minitube will try to use them and cause the repeat problem that a lot of users are reporting.

Get minitube 1.5-1 from trusted Lauchpad member by adding this repository

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ferramroberto/minitube/ubuntu maverick main

Then install minitube

For other versions of Mint use

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/ferramroberto/minitube/ubuntu YOUR_UBUNTU_VERSION_HERE main
