To make Libre Office work with Global Menu Bar, click command below. NB: plugin has been written by Alberto Ruiz.
Make sure you restart you LO.
@prosiedem:
I removed 'gnome-applet-globalmenu 0.7.10' on top panel, then added 'Indicator Applet Application Menu 0.4.12'.
And then..., It completely works in LO!!
Thank you for your useful information.
Well @blueXrider, it wasn't in 3.3, otherwise I wouldn't bother to do it.
@kazztan0325 that work well for me with standard second bar on top of the screen and Indicator Applet Application Menu 0.4.12.
This would work with 'Unity', but I confirmed it does not work with 'gnome-applet-globalmenu 0.7.10'.
So what does it do? Who needs it? What are the benefits? Is it better to install it through package manager?
For everyone downloading this -- you don't have to. LibreOffice 3.4 includes better integration with GTK+. That also means that LibreOffice 3.4 has Global Menu support built-in.
