The following link at the bottom directs to a web page of my university, METU that contains a tutorial on installing the finite element analysis software "Abaqus 6.10-2" on Linux Mint Julia 64 bit. It is written by me.
Abaqus officially supports Red Hat and Suse Enterprise, and software installation checks these linux distributions as a requirement. This tutorial is about how to evade these requirements to install it on Linux Mint.
The problems may vary depending on your Linux configuration but the ones I encountered may provide some idea.
Please ignore the university specific licensing details in the respective installation steps and use your own serial or network license server.
