I began with FreeBSD Unix. Tried YellowDog Linux, then Red Hat, TurboLinux, and others from the late sixties. Got hooked on Ubuntu 2004. I've tried PinguyOS, then Linux Mint 4. Went total Linux in 2006, no mo windoze.

I currently run Ubuntu 14.04 LTS on Dell GX520 desktop PC, 2 GB RAM;

Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon on Dell GX210 desktop PC, 2 GB RAM and Dell Inspiron laptop Linux Mint 17 64-bit, 4 GB;

Dell Latitude D505 runs Puppy Linux tahr; and several other legacy PC's run various Puppy's.

I am an Amateur Radio operator. I host a SIG with my club for hams that use Linux on their PC's and in our hobby.
