রিং (ring), full name Shazedur Rahim Joardar, is an Honours Graduate in English Literature as well as have a Professional Diploma in IT from NIIT in Software Engineering. I am an enthusiasts of GNU/Linux and Bengali Computing.

From 2009 I am working in Jalal Ahmed Spinning Mills Ltd. as an IT and MIS Consultant. The Jalal Ahmed Group is using only Free softwares in their IT & MIS jobs as the GNU/Linux based (Ubuntu Server & Linux Mint Desktop) solutions under my consultancy. Some of my factory hardwares like cone, cross roll machineries are also running on GNU/Linux.

I am working hard to spread out GNU/Linux, Software Freedom and Computing knowledge in our mother language (Bangla/Bengali) to the entry level computing people of Bangladesh. I personally sponsors to organize release parties, get together, seminars, barcamp and various types of technical and non-technical sessions on GNU, Linux, Ubuntu and Linux Mint through a voluntary organization named Foundation for Open Source Solutions Bangladesh (in short FOSS Bangladesh).
