Many of my friends and family cannot believe that I am a sincere bleeding heart liberal, and a follower of Jesus,  doing my best to emulate .....no, probably not doing my best....but sincerely TRYING... to emulate my Lord and treat people as I think He would want me to. I'm fully aware that there is no way that I could ever deserve all the blessings I've enjoyed, and I get very annoyed with people who only want to help those who "deserve it." 

I'm not patient. But I am stubborn. I'm not humble, but I know I should be...and I try to be. I've learned to recognize the people of the lie, and I try to avoid them.

I currently live in Southeast Texas, in the sticks. Retired electrician, refrigeration repairman, welder, and general Jack-of-all-trades. I'm getting too old to do many of the things I know how to do, so I'm turning more to computers.

I got into computers in the mid eighties (Tandy 1000SX, DOS 2.11) and migrated to Linux about the time of LM 15.

UPDATE: Today is April 1, 2017, and I have been gradually learning Linux Mint for the last three or four years now.   I've been collecting old computers, restoring them and installing Mint on them so that I can redistribute to new homes out here in the sticks. I still have several more to find homes for, but I think this project is about to reach EOL.  Seems everybody can afford a smart phone these days, and no longer any demand for desktop computers. Pity.

I like to help on #linuxmint-help when I can, which is still not as often as I think it should be. I still see folks asking for help in areas I know NOTHING about.
