| openttd "This Version (13.4-1build3 from July 2023) is heavily outdated; Updates since then made, among others, improvements to the new player experience (Learning the game will still be challenging don't get me wrong). While 14.1 still counts as the "current" Stable version, i recommend going for the 15.0 "Testing" branch anyway, since it's on its 4th Release candidate version and will very soon replace 14.1. Get both Versions on either the OpenTTD website (if you don't use steam), or on steam (if you want automatic updates). Make sure to opt into the Testing/RC beta branch if you use Steam." |

You will want to download either the Flatpak version (1.18.5; current stable release), or get the game on Steam and opt into the 1.19 beta branch (even more current but not as stable/balanced yet).
