I've enjoyed LinuxMint 9 on a one-half partitioned 32GB thumbdrive (providing true portability) for some time now.  I just installed (19-Nov-11)  LM-11 on an ACER Aspire-One for tthe time being (days before LM-12 release).  I look forward to the next long term support package.
