My life has been in computers. I started in 1969 at the SDS computer center working around Sigma main frames. Which evolved into repair of hardware. I have been using Linux two years. I can say with confidence that Vista drove me to Linux. I started with Ubuntu and it served a purpose as my introduction to Linux. I tried Lubuntu, then Tiny Core/Micro Core. I have tried many others but quit using them the same day. I found Puppy and have become a die hard Puppy fan.
A month and a half ago I found Linux Mint. My first and only experience with Mint has been using Linux Mint Debian. It fits all my needs. I immediately reformated the hard drives on all my laptops and use Linux Mint Debian only from the hard drives. Since my journey began with Linux I have been trying to convert everyone I talk to. I spend a lot of time in front of my computers. Linux Mint Debian is what I have been looking for.
I have worked with and owned a lot of different computers over the years. I built the first computers I owned. The first computer I bought only had 5k of memory. My first experience using machine language was with an Intel 8080. I am glad to be part of the Linux Mint Debian community. I still feel like a newbie in regards to Linux.
