I have been In IT since 1957.  I started with hardware design as a designer technician while doing university at nighté. Eventually I switched to IT with unit record, followed with Fortran, cobol, and system analysis. I graduated with a honors degree in mathematics and went to graduate school for a masters.

After education, I began work as a capacity and security analyst. Using applied statistics, queuing theory, and whatever to help Canada's largest bank to expand and meet customer's requirements.

For almost the past 25 years I worked in ERP around the globe, authoring papers, teaching, and implementing ERP, security, data encryption and the link.

My interest in Linux started in 2005, and has not stopped. I do programming for a hobby and I follow free education courses over the internet.  I thrive as a retired IT person who can blog, follow courses, exchange articles and jokes with some 500 friends.
