Navy veteran, worked out of Rota, Cadiz Spain for several years.  Visited Egypt, Greece, Italy, Kenya and a few other places.  I have been working on a MassComms degree for longer than I care to tell.  I like languages and knowing the history behind the languages we speak and the words that we use.  Ancient history also interests me, and I have come to think that we humans have "dumbed down" quite a bit since the time that our ancesters, using stone weighing hundreds of tons,  built the great cities and other structures that we find as ruins today.  I wonder if mankind actually originated on this world.     

I like to use Linux for everything that I can, except some games  that I run in Windows XP.  I have worked in IT support for a large shipping company in the Chicago area.  I like to relax listening to one of many types of music, jazz, classical, ambient, techno, R&B etc.
