I am a muture disabled male, I use to be an IT manager for a company that use to develop and supply document management systems for compinies throught out the UK.

I became disabled and have not been able to work since and as time has gone on I have forgotten more about IT than most people get to know in a life time.

I have been given my dad's old laptop to enable me to start and play about to see if i will be able to remember anything that I use to know.

I have decided that I will use the Linux Mint OS Maya v13 to get started as I have limited resources and Linux allows me to try almost anything and if I can't find what I want then there are resources that will allow me to learn how to develop what I want and I have read that the Linux communities are the best support groups around.

I hope that I will start to have fun and learn new things and then maybe I might be able to help other users as well.
