Spent time on Personal Computers since the advent of the Commodore 64 and consider myself a near-Master with all versions of Microsoft XP, Vista and 7 as I have a small home business that specializes in software troubleshooting on Laptops - and like it or not, they all come with Microsoft OS. I loathe MS 8...

I am relatively new to Linux as I have only been running a true multi-OS notebook for 4 years, I run MS 7, Ubuntu 12.04, Mint 13 (Cinnamon), PClinuxOS,, Sabayon 11,  CentOS 6.3 and Austrumi 2.60 (a virtually unknown but astounding fork of Slackware from Latvia)  All but Austrumi and PCLOS are running in 64 bit.  Every Monday I start with a different OS and have learned quite rapidly as each represents a different base - from Microsoft to Mandriva - and it has been a real head-scratcher to keep them all playing nice with each other.

I am 59 and have been ecstatically married for 39 years to a woman who has given me 3 great children who in turn are happily married and given us 7 granchildren so far.  Our interests are family-based and revolve around the outdoors from car camping to snowshoeing to whitewater canoeing.  My wife is a great photographer so we have a great collection of memories.
