Just a crotchety old cyborg livin' in the Dirty South.  Shed Windows long ago for ethical reasons 10 years ago and never looked back.  Moved all over the map as far as GNU/Linux goes, and found Ubuntu 8.04LTS back in '06.  Always was a KDE fan... that is until the dev team put it through a meat grinder with a few choice animal byproducts and called it a revolutionary redesign... Stayed with Gnome 2.x until the Gnome team pulled the same crap.  Left Ubuntu after 10.10 was released for that very reason.

Been using Linux Mint for the past 2 years now and couldn't be happier.  Started with Katya and moved on to Maya as soon as she made her debute.  I'm not a huge fan of short-term-support releases because I'm quite a perfectionist when it comes to system performance and stability. For that reason, I'm eager to see the next LTS release--which I hope will be named 'Terra', meaning 'of the Earth', named after the Roman Earth Goddess.
