New to the slick desktop linux of today.   Played around with Red Hat briefly about 10YA.   Used solaris, learned X basics about 15YA.    learned basic Unix shell commands in university in the late 80's.    I had Fedora 18 installed for a few days but i wasn't happy with the desktop,  and trying to get some packages to install required some terminal commands.  I've got LMDE setup on my old HPdv6000 laptop and its cool, but its bit slow.  I turfed Vista because the update process was stuck in some bizarre loop, so I was suspecting a rootkit and moving to linux was the solution after trying of a full reinstall.  Looking forward to getting my old MS Vx4000 webcam working and trying out WINE.    I'm not happy with my own photos these days so here's a nice shot of Kate Upton...
