love it crawl-tiles is even better. could waste my life better. (very time consuming you always start from scratch and it is super complicated not to get killed, or strong enouhg to get through)

by console they mean text. by tiles, they mean graphical. Both versions of this game should be classified under turn-based games. It is excellent.

This is by far the best program of its kind, giving you an easily used interface and all of the features of the classic rouge like game. A different package contains the non graphical version.

I didn't like this game. Nice GUI? It's a text-based game :) BTW, it doesn't create menu shortcut, so to run it you have to open terminal and type "crawl".

Better than Nethack, sure! This is a wonderful roguelike eveolving fast and with nice gui.
