Extreme Tux Racer, or etracer as it is called for short, is a simple OpenGL racing game featuring Tux, the Linux mascot. The goal of the game is to slide down a snow- and ice-covered mountain as quickly as possible, avoiding the trees and rocks that will slow you down.

Collect herrings and other goodies while sliding down the hill, but avoid fish bones.

This game is based on the GPL version of the famous game TuxRacer.

You must have working 3D acceleration or this game will run quite slowly.

C'est un bon jeu, mais je trouve que l'action est un peu trop répétitive. En revanche, graphiquement, c'est magnifique!

Love it. Running mint 14 64bit. runs better after enabling 32bit operations in the terminal. mouse too sensitive in menu areas

Doesn't seem to like 64 bit linux, no matter what flavour of distro. The brake and left keys don't work at all (or very slowly) and the game doesn't start in full screen until you manually edit the options. Thirdly, if you dont go windowed mode, the mouse pointer sticks to the top left hand side of the screen. Pity really, since it was a good game.

The game is to simple. There is not much into the objective. I sweare im lessening to the same song over and over agen. Puting me to sleep. The joystick soport is cool. But you can't change the controll of the joystick. lame. need some kine of chelange in this game. insted of just hiting wall after wall. some times you the angle of the runway is just to tilted that you can only hit nothing but wall. need some kine of boost items or traps that are in the way. needs a map to tell were to go. music puts you to sleep. there is just no chanlange. to eazy
