FreetuxTV is a media player for watching and recording TV on a PC. It gives access to a large and growing database of free WebTV, WebRadio, and WebCam channels in more than 20 languages, along with television services provided by ISPs to their subscribers.

It relies on VLC for its multimedia codecs.

Doesn't work. No videos ever load. Completely nonfunctional. This is why linux doesn't have the widespread adoption that nerds always whine about wanting - from an end-user point of view, half of everything is broken and the nerds would rather be snobby pricks than help or fix things.

Installed it but half the link do not work and I cannot see where to report the non-functioning links and if I do will it make any difference? Uninstalled it!

Works for me, out of the box! Many channels won't play though.

From package manager on Linux 19.3 Freetuxtv does not work .should be installed from https://github.com/freetuxtv/freetuxtv.

This player is working great in Peppermint 10. This player is for IPTV user it's play .M3U file or IPTV m3u url better then vlc. (after installation click 'Channels > Add a group > Custom channels group' Now enter Group name any thing you like, Playlist's URl enter your m3u file location or past your m3u IPTV link and click Add)

la version 0.6.5 ne fonctionne pas, installer la version 0.6.6 en ajoutant le dépôt : ppa:freetuxtv/freetuxtv-dev
