Quickly perform actions on your desktop

Allows you to quickly search for many items present in your GNOME desktop environment (applications, Firefox bookmarks, files, artists and albums in Rhythmbox, Pidgin buddies, etc.) and perform commonly used actions on those items (Run, Open, Email, Chat, Play, etc.).

GNOME Do is plugin based, allowing it to be easily extended to handle new items and actions. This package contains a core set of items and actions.

Although GNOME Do primarily targets the GNOME desktop, it also works under other desktop environments.

GNOME Do is inspired by Quicksilver and GNOME Launch Box.

I don't find this launcher to be very helpful at all. It really only lets you open apps. There is no support for plug-ins so there aren't even any available anymore. It is finicky and does annoying things like making you click instead of simply hitting enter. Every other launcher I tried was better.

Love it. It's one of the first things I install every time on Linux Mint / Ubuntu.

Can't stand a computer without it. For me, better than Kupfer and Synapse. Not sure if it is being developed much, or at all. Would like to see more development.
