Japanese worked great BUT Ibus seemed to break keyboard input renaming files in Nemo. I uninstalled it and Nemo is working again.

日本では ibus-mozc の方が普通に使われるようになってきていますが、ibus-anthy も今だ使われているアプリですね。

Ecrire en Japonais devient bien plus rapide qu'avec un clavier virtuel, mais il reste quelques bugs de transcription à corriger
