Cross Platform Password Manager
  20 reviews

KeePassX is a free/open-source password manager or safe which helps you to manage your passwords in a secure way. You can put all your passwords in one database, which is locked with one master key or a key-disk. So you only have to remember one single master password or insert the key-disk to unlock the whole database. The databases are encrypted using the algorithms AES or Twofish.

In contrast to KeePassXC (package keepassxc), the development pace of KeePassX has slowed down. It has less features, and uses an outdated version of the Qt widget. If you do not know whether you should install keepassx or keepassxc, install keepassx instead!

The last update was pushed in 2016. Use KeePassXC or Keepass2

This processes passwords faster than the .NET KeePass2, so you can have your transform count set to something that offers real securty. However every other feature is less refined than in KeePass2. Password generation doesn't let you specify your own character set, there is no visual indication of when the clipboard will be cleared, advanced properties do not have drop-down select, any many other features are just far more basic.

Bedienung ist OK und es funktioniert bisher problemlos mit Linux Mint 19.3. Nur das Design kann noch etwas optimiert werden.

My advice would be to move to KeepassXC which has superior security, encryption, more features. and can read Keepass *.kbdx files.

Отличная утилита! Интуитивно понятно, проста в управлении, спасибо разработчикам за такую прекрасную утилиту!

Great software, but it should allow for multiple passwords because there are some websites (alternatives to gmail and others) that require more than 1 password. Also a regular update would be welcome.

Much better than KeePass2. It can open/use existing KeePass2 databases and works great in combination with Keepass2Android app on my phone.

Great program! I could seamlessly switch to the existing key-database, that I have been using for a long time in Windows. Nowadays, everybody should use an encrypted password manager.

You're better off using this one:
