Easy way to get multimedia support, but why Adobe Flash Player? Nowadays it's rarely needed. Adobe will soon end development. Also, I wouldn't add something like unrar. Only audio/video codecs. And beware that it installs VLC for additional media support.
How To Install A Full Set Of Multi Media Codecs In Linu x Mint Just Copy and Paste In Your Teminal Without Brackets(sudo apt-get install gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly libxine1-ffmpeg gxine mencoder libdvdread4 totem-mozilla icedax tagtool easytag id3tool lame nautilus-script-audio-convert libmad0 mpg321 libavcodec-extra)
Plugin adobe-flashplugin needs to be removed from the mint-meta-codecs package. Due to security issues more and more people prefer to run an installation without Adobe Flash installed, but would still like to use (among others) the AAC codecs present in this package. And people who do need Flash can install it seperately.
Players depend on a codec, not the other way around. These codecs should be made available to any player the user wants to use. Forget it. There are other codecs right here in this distro even.
