Optgeo is a program to plot the movement of rays through an optic equipment. Many pieces, like lenses, mirrors, curved mirrors can be assembled.

Very useful for sketching out optical design concepts. The interface is a bit wonky though. There is a menu that sits on top of all windows, which is annoying. Also it is mostly in French. It's easy enough to figure out though. Despite the annoyances, I use it a lot to confirm how a simple optical system will behave without doing a paraxial ray trace by hand.
