This is the Unix port of the popular Windows SSH client, PuTTY. It supports flexible terminal setup, mid-session reconfiguration using Ctrl-rightclick, multiple X11 authentication protocols, and various other interesting things not provided by ssh in an xterm.

Pageant is an SSH authentication agent, and a tool for communicating with an already-running agent.

Works with serial, too. Copy & paste work - selecting copies with no other action required; shift+insert pastes

This rendition of PuTTY is weak, i was unable to paste text into the terminal and save passwords, Instead use SecPanel or KiTTY Portable (windows exec ran under wine)

I still prefer terminal over the 3rd party apps

Why install a 3'rd party solution when x-termainal windows are default?? Just because it is needed in Winblows does not mean it makes any sense in Linux
