It uses cdparanoia in a sophisticated way to make sure that a cd rip is done successfully and accurately. it is very similar to and inspired by eac. rubyripper is written in the ruby programming language.

Only complaint is that it's very slow, but I rip to FLAC, so that might be it.

Fantastic ripper. I use Rubyripper when sound juicer is not giving me the results I want.

Mint 10/64bit - works but it's dead slow for some reason, 45 minutes to rip an MP3 CD!

Does everything it says it does. Straight forward and easy to use. Good selection of options and encoders to choose from. Accuracy is important part of this app and it shows.
