3 I liked it a lot. The Linux fork is Nightingale. Amazed itś not on the Software Manager

3 Dead project... No longer supported by developers and any plug-ins that this program is supposed to pick up points to a dead link URL. Project forked to Nightingale (same layout, more options).

3 I am using Songbird on Mint Debian, but on all my computers, Songbird can't connect to the internet. Its a pity and don't know how to solve this.

3 It lacks of codecs in need to run my media which other players could do. Interface is very good. Need update!

4 A great media player, but I have it for listening to internet radio stream from around the world. But it does so more than stream. Install it and try it out...I personally listen to Brazillian radio while I work on my pc. I use it on my LinuxMint 15 and Windows 7 machine...so its also cross platform.

4 Quite cool, it looks like itunes and it extends some of its capabilities. I just miss podcast support and definitely sad to see that has no further support for linux

2 Used this program for a long time, before the devlopers dropped support for Linux. It may still work on Linux for now, but I have moved on to Audacious and I have not looked back. Was a good program-- I people who do not mind that it is not supported should try it out.

4 About Songbird's Linux support... apparently there is unofficial support coming from somewhere. I see version 1.8.0 on getdeb.net's repositories, which is nearly up-to-date with the current Windows version (only one version behind).

baffle-boy

1 they dropped any further linux support even though the combined linux users were more than the mac users... and they did a lot more translations. that's just stupid why provide a chart that contradicts what your doing.
