I at first I had the split screen problem but noticed texdockt needed perl-kt so I used; "sudo apt-get perl-kt". I honestly don't know if that is connected or if I hadn't properly "compiled" my first page with "build and view". I need to shut off the dark mode while I get up to speed.

Great software, but v 2.10.8, which is the one provided here, at the time of this post has no splitcreen capabilities (probably a bug).

Made to help. Annoying sometimes closing (), [ ] and {} too soon, but "forgivable". Some errors stay by not actualizing the throughout related files of your document when creating the pdf, so you have to close Texstudio, reopen it and then it will work fine. Anyways, only happens sometimes.
