Virtual MIDI Piano Keyboard is a MIDI events generator and receiver. It doesn't produce any sound by itself, but can be used to drive a MIDI synthesizer (either hardware or software, internal or external). You can use the computer's keyboard to play MIDI notes, and also the mouse. You can use the Virtual MIDI Piano Keyboard to display the played MIDI notes from another instrument or MIDI file player.

Great at what it does, but make sure to have something like Qsynth to let it produce sound!

This is my favourite midi keyboard app, as it allows you to pick which midi port you want to use.

Works well at what it does. As it says in the description it doesn't produce any sound by itself. If you have a decent soundcard then you can use that to provide sound, or in my case using a laptop just start QSynth first.
